Billy’s Story

Billy’s mum, Nicci, came to me to ask if I could make an animated film about his death. It would be used as part of drugs education workshops in schools and colleges.

I contacted my team straight away to ensure we could do this on Nicci’s budget. Once confirmed, I got to work on the script. Once approved by Nicci, I contacted my illustrator, Karel, and he got to work designing the look and once approved the storyboard was next.

With the storyboard complete I then went about putting the storyboard images on a video timeline and created the sound track and dialogue and the timing of the piece.

Karel and our animator friend Christof then went about creating the animation.

The end result has been entered into Film Festivals and is being used in drug education workshops.
